A mother's guide to love (2024) This film embodies the essence of collectiveness by bringing together individuals from various backgrounds to appreciate and celebrate a universal concept—maternal love—through the medium of fashion. The theme pays homage to maternal love but also challenges conventional fashion narratives by emphasizing care for culture, community, and the environment. Hence, the multifaceted meanings of 'quietness' expressed through a form of love are exemplified across various cultures. By showcasing this work, I would like to invite viewers to consider it as a culture of cooperation, healing, and collective action. The virtual garment is a personal interpretation of the evolution of care within the Taiwanese culture. Film Link is available upon request.

The Apology Philosophy of Taiwan (2025) In Taiwan, "politeness" and "apology" are not merely everyday habits but profound cultural values. The philosophy of apology in Taiwanese culture, expressed through both words and actions, reflects a deep respect for others' feelings and a pursuit of societal harmony. This project uses minimal waste garment pattern transformation as A METAPHOR OF THE SUBTLE ART AND POWER OF APOLOGY. A series of female spoken words, A VISUALISATION OF different tones of apology in Mandarin, is projected onto the garments, SHOWCASING the nuanced ways apologies are OFFERED, DISSOLVED OR ENFORCED across various IMAGINARY NEGOTIATIONS, FROM THE INTIMATE, TO THE GEO-POLITICAL.
